Examinations
Ireland's first structured Kathak training program aligned with the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal ABGMVM syllabus, currently training 40–50 students across beginner and intermediate levels, with a growing network of cultural partnerships.
In May 2025, four students became the first in Ireland to sit the ABGMVM Kathak examination remotely and achieved First Class results.

“I’m currently pursuing my first year at Kathak Nitya Dublin and soon preparing for my exams. What stands out most to me is how meticulous and patient Saloni is as a teacher. She understands that each student learns at their own pace and ensures everyone feels supported along the way. Saloni gives equal attention to all students, whether they are complete newcomers to Kathak or already familiar with the art form, and she creates an environment where every learner has the opportunity to progress. Her dedication, encouragement, and eye for detail make the journey of learning Kathak both enriching and enjoyable. Highly recommend Kathak Nitya Dublin to anyone wishing to start or deepen their journey in this beautiful classical dance form”

“I joined Kathak Nritya Dublin as a complete beginner in classical dance, unsure of what to expect. But from the very first class, I was welcomed into a warm and encouraging environment. Under Saloni’s guidance, my journey from Prarambhik (Level 1) to now Praveshika Purna (Level 3) has been nothing short of incredible. The classes are not just about technique- they’re engaging, full of joy, and taught with care and attention. Saloni has created a space where learning Kathak feels both structured and enjoyable, making every class something to look forward to. Being a part of the Kathak community in Dublin has been truly special, cherishing the culture while growing in this beautiful art form. Grateful to be on this journey and excited for what’s ahead! ❤️”

“It’s a pleasure to recommend Saloni’s Kathak classes to anyone interested in learning this beautiful classical Indian dance and joining a warm, inclusive community. Saloni has over 20 years of experience, and it shows. She’s a knowledgeable and skilled teacher who also brings a lot of joy to every class. Her lessons are engaging, well-paced, and thoughtfully planned. She also provides great resources to help you practice at home, including detailed video guides and a well-designed theory workbook. Whether you’re aiming to take formal exams through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (Lucknow Gharana), or just want to explore a new, fulfilling hobby, I highly recommend learning with Saloni. You’ll be in expert, encouraging hands! I’m looking forward to Level 2 this August!”

Ériu Dance Company
A Meeting of Rhythms
In collaboration with Ériu Dance Company and Breandán De Gallaí and Sarah Fennell, Kathak Nritya Dublin worked with dancers from Na Mic Ua gCorra, the youth company, comprising B/MA Irish dance students from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick. The exchange explored rhythm as a shared language, bridging Kathak and Irish dance through percussive footwork — a meeting of traditions rooted in discipline, dialogue, and artistic curiosity.
